“I’m Mrs. she’s too big, now she’s too thin,” read the lyrics of Britney Spears’ hit “Piece of Me” which she performs on her Circus tour in response to her critics. But now German tabloid Bild has resorted to flat out name-calling, saying Britney is fat and angering fans.

The article says that fans are angry and deeming the concert a “rip off” after “being treated to a poor performance by the overweight ‘Circus’ tour star.” “German concertgoers even labeled the star ‘Dickney’ and ‘Speckney’ (‘dick’ and ’speck’ both mean ‘fat’ in German),” continued the article.

The article also included an accompanying photograph, showing a fuller Britney. The photo looks suspiciously photoshopped, especially as other photos and videos from the tour show a more svelte star.

After reportedly disappointing fans with a “lame” performance, the tabloid slammed the star’s management for not allowing news agency photographers in to photograph the show except for official photographers, “probably due to her extra pounds,” the tabloid suggest. Methinks Bild was among the snubbed agencies.

Then Spears further angered her fans who waited for hours in front of her Grand Hyatt hotel by offering them only printed autograph cards. Perhaps removal by force would have been more hospitable?

Spears continues a second leg of her Circus tour in August, returning to cities she previously sold out, like New York, Miami, and Las Vegas before heading out for more dates overseas. She, however, probably won’t be back to Germany anytime soon.
