britney candies b 0 Britney Spears extends role for Kohls Candies line

Britney Spears will continue to appear as the personality for the Candie’s brand that is exclusively sold at Menomonee Falls, Wis.-based Kohl’s Department Stores based.

Candie’s parent Iconix Brand Group (NASDAQ: ICON) said Tuesday it will continue its partnership with Spears and she will appear in Candie’s fall television, print, online and in-store advertising campaign. Spears recently appeared in the juniors brand’s spring print and online marketing campaign.

Candie’s outfitted Spears for her new music video, “Radar,” and will use footage from the music video for its fall television commercial. The music video features Candie’s apparel, footwear, jewelry and accessories that are available at Kohl’s (NYSE: KSS). The television commercial will debut later this summer and the print campaign will premiere in September issues of fashion, entertainment and lifestyle magazines.

Julie Gardner, Kohl’s executive vice president and chief marketing officer, said the department store chain is excited that Spears will appear in the fall ad campaign.

“After a successful launch in spring, we know Spears has a strong connection with our young shoppers who want great style at exceptional value,” she said.

The campaign will be heavily integrated into Kohl’s fall marketing vehicles, including national broadcast, outdoor billboards, circulars, in-store graphics, online, direct mail and e-mail blasts.
