100317180735resized 04 Lady Gaga gets revenge for Britney Spears snub The runaway success of Lady Gaga’s new single “Telephone” featuring Beyoncé, which currently sits atop the Billboard Pop Songs chart, must have Britney Spears kicking herself and Gaga feeling just a little smug.

Gaga originally wrote her track “Telephone” for Spears, but when the “Oops…I Did it Again” hitmaker rejected the song, she decided to record it herself and recruited Beyoncé to help give it the added superstar treatment.

“I wrote it for her (Britney) a long time ago,” the “Bad Romance” hitmaker told Jam, “and she just didn’t use it for her album – it’s fine because I love the song and I get to perform it now.”

Not only has “Telephone” placed Spears’ competitors at No 1 on the charts, but the song has put Gaga and Beyoncé in a tie with Mariah Carey for most ever No 1 songs on the Billboard Pop Songs, catapulting the 2 rival pop divas ahead of…..you guessed it….Britney Spears as well as Avril Lavigne, Pink, and Justin Timberlake who each have five No. 1s.

More than just a little irony there, don’t you think?

Despite rumors that Britney Spears and her manager/boyfriend Jason Trawick split, the two were seen hand in hand yesterday in Beverly Hills, shopping up a storm. After they finished in Beverly Hills, they drove to Studio City, Calif., to make a special purchase for Brit at Party City — a leopard headband/crown! Looks like the music icon really wants to claim her title as pop princess!

Brit also tried on Minnie Mouse ears before making her final choice and going with the leopard!

Brit and Jason are quick to prove that they are still going strong! Jason was quite the gentleman to his leading lady.

Must be nice for the couple to spend some alone time without the boys! Wonder what they’ll think of mommy’s crown?

Reports are circling the web that Britney and Jason ended their relationship in the end of February.  It was reported by a source that the couple fought a lot and needed time apart.  A rep for Jason Trawick confirmed that he is still representing Britney.  No word yet from a rep for Brit.

Britney’s court hearing postponed

TMZ reported that Britney did not show up in court as scheduled today.  Brit was supposed to meet with Judge Reva Goetz around 1:30PM to discuss her progress.  The reason in the report states that the parties “need more time” before they meet.  Rumors and previous hearings have led people to believe that conservatorship is in talks of ending. Let’s hope Brit gets to meet with the judge soon!

Britney Spears’ Boyfriend Can’t Stand Her Music

Jason Trawick, Spears’ agent and long time boyfriend, allegedly spilled out his disgust to her hit “Toxic”, according to reports.

At the Paris Hilton’s birthday bash in Los Angeles, Trawick arrived with a guy friend and was enjoying himself until “Toxic” came on.

A source said that when DJ Mr. Best played Spears’ “Toxic”, “the first thing out of Jason’s mouth was, ‘Oh my God, I hate this song!’”

The source added, “His friends all laughed and continued to talk, but he interrupted them by saying, “I’m sorry, I can’t hear what you’re saying over her voice”. He wasn’t laughing.’”

The couple has been dating since early 2009, but had a slight bump on the road from all the break-up rumors during the Circus star’s ill-fated Aussie tour last November, after Trawick reportedly rejected her marriage proposal, according to reports.

There has been inside source that reported it was Spears’ father, Jamie, who has been pushing his daughter’s relationship to the next step due to Trawick’s positive influence on the singer.
